Mission Statement:
To provide parents with information and guidance that will afford their child or children the opportunity to participate in an organized sporting activity or activities thereby removing the barriers that often stands between them and their sports participation.

Sports - My Choice is a not for profit organization established for the purpose of assisting under privileged youth of Tallahassee in their desires to participate in organized sports.

Working under the supervision of VISIONS OF MANHOOD, it is the intent of our organization to remove the financial barrier, which prevents many of our young people from enjoying the experiences provided through sports participation. It is a widely known fact that sporting activities provide kids with an opportunity to develop self-esteem, leadership and team building skills that allow them to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Our organization assisted in the promotion and operation of the first Walker Ford Summer Hoop Jam, a six weeks summer youth basketball league in June 2001. This basketball league was successful in providing eighty (80) kids ranging in age from eight to twelve with an opportunity to participate in an organized event at no cost to the player. We provided an opportunity for seven (7) boys from the camp to participate in the Top Gun Basketball Camp sponsor by Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. In March and April sponsored the first Sport-My Choice Softball bash tournament one and two respectively. In June 2002, we supported the organizing of Capital Park Little Major League Summer Baseball Camp. These are just a few of things we are during for the kids.

With your assistance we will continue to work and ensure that no child who desire to participate in youth sports will have to choose a less attractive path. We want sports to be the positive choice.
